What people are saying.

  • We engaged CDT to design, coordinate and oversee a field trial to test our proposed process for engaging industry participants and recovering waste floorcovering materials from construction sites. Karie and Vivek were a pleasure to work with, bringing insight and expertise in the circular economy and logistics to address project challenges and help us refine our process design and strategy. The result has helped set our industry product stewardship pathway, strongly supported by the sector.

  • CDT worked with the NSW EPA on a unique project which started out to map the lifecycle of a sofa. We were interested in the textile waste along the journey and where there may be opportunities to reduce it. Karie not only delivered expertly on the task, she value-added to the challenge of furnishing textile waste by including curtains through the supply chain. The final report, Weaving the Waste out of Furnishing is published on our website. It identifies the volumes, scope and reasons for textile furnishing waste, illustrated with case studies, and solutions for improved circularity.

  • It is an absolute pleasure having Karie on board. Her value goes beyond her wealth of knowledge in the textile and environmental space. Her passion for driving change and understanding of the need to integrate with other key elements in the business has added value beyond the initial scope of works.

    — Kevin Adno, Director Furniture by Design

  • Karie worked closely with the staff and collections at the Caroline Simpson Library & Research Collection. She was fascinated by the historic wallpapers, especially those made and used in Australia, and eager to learn more of the stories behind the designs. Karie and her team designed their own range of wallpapers and fabrics that were not copies of the library’s historic collections, but rather, were reimagined and inspired by them.
