Purpose with Integrity

We’re not here to use sustainability as a buzzword—CDT exists to drive genuine systemic change.
The focus is on confronting real-world issues like waste, overproduction and environmental degradation with practical, scalable solutions.

Circularity with Substance, Not Spin

We engage deeply with the complexities of the circular economy—designing out waste, mapping value chains, developing new material pathways and closing out loops—and we actively push beyond greenwashing.

Why this matters: We bring rigour and transparency, creating a trustworthy foundation for organisations’ who want their work to stand up to scrutiny.

Cross-Disciplinary Collaboration

CDT works across design, manufacturing, academia and policy—and create space for conversations between stakeholders that don’t normally interact.

Why this matters: For those who value diverse perspectives and collaborative problem-solving, we offer the chance to connect the dots across sectors and be part of something smarter than siloed thinking.

Courageous Leadership

CDT challenges entrenched systems and behaviours within industries that are historically slow to change—offering pilots, frameworks and education that are action-oriented, not just aspirational.

Why this matters: It signals our courage to lead, not just follow trends. This draws in like-minded colleagues who are motivated by transformation and unafraid of difficult conversations.

Ready to Take the Next Step?

How do we best serve our planet for this and future generations whilst still making beautiful objects and beautiful spaces?  The Circular Design Thinking process is at the core of the answer. By reinterpreting the way products are designed and by moving away from the linear processes of ‘take, make, dispose’, waste is being utilised as an asset. Chemicals of concern and virgin materials are being phased out, allowing innovative and renewable materials to make their impact. But this is only the beginning as we work towards reducing overproduction and creating responsible material pathways.   CDT is continually inspired whilst supporting designers, manufacturers, retailers, brand owners and industry bodies create a new and evolving industry. A curiosity to find solutions and initiatives to achieve a circular materials economy, is what constantly drives CDT.
