Intent.
In 2025, Karie spent time travelling through parts of Asia and Europe, learning how different countries and individuals are approaching the circular economy, quietly, creatively and often with very limited resources.
From small workshops to universities, from material makers to recyclers, designers and community leaders - what stood out wasn’t perfection, but intent. People working within their own constraints, responding to local culture, skills, infrastructure and need.
Circularity doesn’t look the same everywhere (and that’s the point).
What works in one country won’t always translate directly to another, but there is so much we can learn by listening, observing and sharing knowledge across borders.
Throughout this year, Karie will be sharing stories, materials, people and lessons from these travels -not as answers, but as insights. Moments of progress. Practical ideas. Humanscale solutions.
Change doesn’t come from one place or one voice.
It comes from connection, collaboration and learning from each other.
More to come.
